The Crew

we've got it covered

Alan Jay's Entertainment Scene

"What a great start to August this turned out to be at the Brimington Social Club.

A late change of act and the ... 60s aces THE CREW were on stage. These supremely talented guys have long been a favourite of mine and tonight (Saturday 3rd August) showed just why.

All four members are superb musicians and ditto with the vocals. Every number was spot on with the highlight for me being the drummer Chris stepping forward to play sax on 'Baker Street'. From there he moved straight on to the Tremeloes rendition of the Frankie Valli hits. The falsetto's were absolutely awesome.

A brilliant mega hit in 'Good Vibrations' was handled superbly by all ... showing again their vast vocal range.

I have to say on a personal note, that tonight's show now stands at No.1 for me this year. What a great night out!"

"My overall act of the year goes to THE CREW. Their versatility as musicians and vocalists is simply outstanding"
